Happy Father's Day!

We want to say thank you to and honor some special dads today!

Jenna honors her Dad, Marty, her Grandad, and her husband Sean (Dad-to-be)! Sean honors his Dad, Kim, and his brother-in-law, Micah. Together we honor God who is our ultimate, all providing, all loving Father.

Dad, you have always been there for me and our whole family. Your steadfastness will be an amazing inspiration to our parenting. I love you! Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day Grandad! You mean so much to me and I love you!
Dad, God truly has distributed much of his grace in my life through you. This picture makes me smile so much. I treasure moments like these and I can't wait to have moments like this with my son. Thank you for showing me Jesus with your words & life.
Micah, your belief that God has richly and generously loved you is evident in who you are as a father. It has been a blessing to see how the love of God motivates and perfects you as Dad. Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day Daddy! - Jenna & Baby Boy (from the belly)

Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
(Matthew 7:9-11 ESV)
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
(Romans 8:14-17 ESV)

Ultimately, the greatest honor of Father's Day goes to God, the Father of Fathers. He created the role in life we call "father" or "dad" after himself eternally being a Father to the Son who is Jesus. And although we are immensely blessed by our earthly fathers, how much more have we been blessed by a Father with pure, holy, and truly loving motivation. He is the ultimate Father, His family, the church, is the ultimate family. Although we have sinned against him in innumerable ways, he gave his son in the place of us. His son Jesus absorbed the penalty for our wickedness so that our Father could love us while remaining fully just and holy. Now, because of Jesus, the Father has adopted those who He has called to put their trust in Jesus. We are adopted, restored to our Father and restored to our fellow siblings, the church.

And our hope for you is to run to your true Father, God, because of Jesus accomplishments not your own. Find comfort and approval in your adoption into God's family.

We are adopted by God the Father because of Jesus, there is no greater news!

Mom, I am so grateful for you! God has given the world and especially me an amazing blessing in you. Our dance at my wedding meant so much to me. It was my pleasure to dance with you in front of everyone to show just how special you are to me. Thank you for your enduring patience with me as a young kid and even now. You enduring love has made a very big impression on my life! Most of all, thank you for sharing your love for Jesus with me. The greatest gift a mother could give, is your devotion to sharing with me how great our Savior is! I love you!
